What is Yin Yoga?
In a Yin Yoga class most of the poses are performed sat or lying down and will be maintained between 3 and 5 minutes to provide a profound relaxation of the deep tissues and connective tissues. This class will strongly connect your breath, your mind and your body all together to release all the tensions in your muscles and help you to be more flexible and mobile. Yin Yoga often includes the use of pillows, blocks or belts to support you or help you to go deeper into the shape. See below "What you need specifically for Yin".
Who this class is for:
These classes are perfect regardless if you've never done yoga before, or if you have an advanced practice but want to go deeper into the poses and gain mobility and suppleness. Gérard gives clear easy instructions in layman's language (no sanskrit or chanting in his classes). You will leave this class completely relaxed.
No prior experience is necessary, and the class is really friendly and very relaxing.
What you need specifically for Yin:
Comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in: shorts and a T-shirt are perfect.
A couple of pillows or cushions, or a yoga bolster or spare mat if you have one
A belt or strap from a dressing gown or similar or a yoga strap
A warm blanket
What you need on-line:
A yoga mat if you have one otherwise a space on your floor.
Your camera MUST be on and you MUST be clearly visible for the duration of the class.

Life sometimes puts unavoidable delays in our path, and if something means you'll be late please don't worry: you're welcome to join when you arrive (within reason!).
How many students will there be?
In-Studio classes are limited to 10 students with greater than 2m physical distancing, On-Line classes are limited to 15 students so it's possible to interact with everyone.
