Who this class is for:
Less instruction and more guided practice, this session is ideal if you don't have the motivation to practice on your own! We'll be running through various sequences that appear regularly in Matthew's other classes with requests taken from you the student, so you'll get one hour of whatever you'd like to work on, from straight forward sun salutations and relatively simple (but not necessarily easy!) sequences, to more focused workshop style sessions. The focus may be on "doing" and "feeling" rather than analysing technique and learning new poses, or it might be looking at one aspect of yoga, it's up to you! Of course Matthew will help with questions and will make sure you're practicing safely.
What you need:
Comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in: shorts and a T-shirt are perfect.
Your own yoga mat, or be prepared to practice on the grass!
A refillable water bottle (not plastic please) and a towel if you choose.
Life sometimes puts unavoidable delays in our path, and if something means you'll be late please don't worry: you're welcome to join when you arrive (within reason!).
How many students will there be?
Current Coronavirus guidelines limit group activities to a maximum of six people, so we'll be five students plus teacher. Booking is ESSENTIAL.
Where exactly is it?
We'll be in the flower garden near where the deer live and looking down at the lake, i.e. at the SOUTH end of the park near Blackheath, NOT near the river. Enter through the South Gate at the end of Blackheath Avenue coming from Blackheath, turn immediately RIGHT (away from the cricket pitch) and go through the little gate. Follow the path straight ahead, and we'll be on the right a few hundred yards from there.
What happens if it rains?
We're at the mercy of the weather, so I'll make a decision at 2pm on the day and let everyone know by email.
In the event of cancellation due to the weather you'll have three options:
1) The class will run on-line via Zoom at 17.30 for those who would still like to practice (I’ll send you the link separately).
2) You can cancel your booking and you’ll receive a credit refund which you can use to book another class (or I can do this for you)
3) I can give you a full credit card refund.
Please have a look at the Yoga and Health section before attending a class for the first time. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us in advance of attending a class.
I still have questions!
