About this course:
In this 2-part course spread over two consecutive Saturdays (each session is 90 mins) you’ll be introduced to the many facets of yoga allowing you to discover what yoga can mean for you on both a physical and spiritual level.
The sessions will be led by Matthew who will teach postural awareness and making shapes (asana) as well as flowing and moving with the breath (vinyasa), ably assisted by Paul who will be offering adjustments and individual assistance as well as leading sections of each class so you experience different teaching styles.
The course is ideal for those completely new to yoga, or for those looking to refresh their existing practice.
In this course we give clear easy instructions in layman's language (no sanskrit or chanting in our classes), and we focus on key postures, breathing, developing strength and balance. You'll learn to connect mind and body and develop a deeper understanding of your own physicality, and this course will prepare you to join any of our classes at Brewer Street Yoga.
What you need:
Comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in: shorts and a T-shirt are perfect.
A yoga mat if you have one, otherwise studio mats are available.
A refillable water bottle (not plastic please) and a towel if you choose to.
Note that there are no shower facilities at this venue.
Life sometimes puts unavoidable delays in our path, and if something means you'll be late please don't worry: you're welcome to join when you arrive (within reason!).
