About this course:
In this 4-part course spread over four consecutive Saturdays (each session is 75 mins) you’ll be introduced to the many facets of yoga allowing you to discover what yoga can mean for you on both a physical and spiritual level.
The sessions will be led by Matthew who will teach postural awareness and making shapes (asana) as well as flowing and moving with the breath (vinyasa), ably assisted on the Jan course by Gérard and Paul who will be offering adjustments and individual assistance as well as each leading sections of each class so you experience different teaching styles.
The course is ideal for those completely new to yoga, or for those looking to refresh their existing practice.
In this course we give clear easy instructions in layman's language (no sanskrit or chanting in our classes), and we focus on key postures, breathing, developing strength and balance. You'll learn to connect mind and body and develop a deeper understanding of your own physicality, and this course will prepare you to join any of our classes at Brewer Street Yoga.
The course is bookable as a whole series and each session is designed to compliment the previous one, however it is possible to book onto each session individually if you're not able to commit to all four sessions. From 5th Feb our regular Yoga for For Gay Men will resume in this slot: an ideal way to continue your practice.
What you need:
Comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in: shorts and a T-shirt are perfect.
A yoga mat if you have one, otherwise studio mats are available.
